The Physics of Texture. Velvety & Deep.

"Midnight Embrace" is a study in viscosity. We engineered this profile for texture, fusing the heavy, structural body of Brazilian beans with the nutty refinement of Mexican Arabica.

While many dark roasts rely on bitterness for strength, this blend relies on depth. Through our clear-view packaging, you can see the gentle oil sheen on the beans—visual proof of deep sugar caramelization rather than burning. It delivers a lavish, coating mouthfeel with notes of baker's chocolate and toasted nuts.

  • Origin: Mexico and Brazil
  • Profile: Baker's Chocolate • Caramelized Sugar • Toasted Nut
  • Roast Level: Dark Matter Physics. Velvety & Low Acid.
  • The Art: A rich traditional Espresso, or a comforting brew for the quiet of the night.

The Roast Method

Roasted in small batches (<25lbs) in Oregon and Missouri.

Midnight Embrace requires expert timing. We roast this blend to the edge of the 'second crack' to unlock the rich oils and smooth texture, but stop immediately before carbonization begins. This precision ensures you taste the sweetness of the roast, not the char.

Brewing Recommendations

Water Temp: 195°F - 200°F (90.5°C - 93°C).

Why: Slightly cooler water prevents over-extracting the delicate oils, keeping the finish smooth.

Espresso Profile:

  • Ratio: 1:1.8 to 1:2 (e.g., 18g in, 36g out).
  • Time: 20-25 seconds.
  • Result: This quick extraction creates a thick, velvety crema and prevents bitterness.

Drip/Pour Over: Use a Medium grind to highlight the nutty, toasty base.

Impact & Sustainability

This two-part blend offers a contrast in farming philosophies. It draws from Brazilian estates in the Cerrado, leveraging systematic agricultural approaches and controlled drying. This is balanced by Mexican beans from Chiapas, where family farms and cooperatives uphold traditional cultivation practices. Both regions ensure established quality protocols and a reliable supply chain.
