Engineered for Intensity. The Dark Roast Standard.

"Lowland Fire" is the ultimate test of thermal control. We push this single-origin Brazilian bean to the very edge of the roast curve to unlock maximum body and intensity, but arrest the heat precisely before carbonization sets in.

Unlike industrial dark roasts that hide burnt beans behind foil, our clear-view packaging reveals the truth: a deep, rich coffee that is dark but never charred. It delivers the heavy, comforting punch of a French Roast with smooth notes of toasted almond and molasses—bold physics, zero bitterness.

  • Origin: Brazil
  • Profile: Dark Chocolate • Toasted Almond • Earthy Molasses
  • Roast Level: High Gravity. Heavy Body & Smoke.
  • The Art: The perfect morning wakeup. Stands up beautifully to milk and sugar.

The Roast Method

Roasted in small batches (<25lbs) at our facilities in Oregon and Missouri.

For Lowland Fire, we use a distinct roast profile that extends the development time. This allows the natural sugars in the Brazilian beans to fully caramelize and brings the rich oils to the surface, creating that classic robust flavor while ensuring the coffee arrives fresh and aromatic.

Brewing Recommendations

Focus: The Science of Dark Roast (Temperature is key here).

  • Water Temp: 195°F - 198°F (Critical: Use cooler water to prevent over-extraction and bitterness).
  • Ratio: 1:15 (Stronger) to 1:16 (Balanced).
  • Grind Size: Medium-Coarse for French Press / Medium for Drip.
  • Pro Tip: This coffee produces a thick, rich crema when pulled as an espresso shot.

Impact & Sustainability

We prioritize direct trade relationships that ensure farmers are paid above fair-trade minimums. This sustainable approach supports the communities that grow this exceptional coffee and ensures the highest quality beans year after year.
